What went before…. and…. what’s to come

In amongst our work with individual parents and schools, where we’ve had the opportunity to get to know lots of local families as well as working remotely with those further away, our collaborations form the third arm of The Parent Collaborative. The clue is in the name, and as we start a whole, new, year, we’ve been looking back at some of our favourite collaborations, whilst also looking ahead to more in 2021!

The Kokedama Workshop – a collaboration with our friends at The Bath Flower School – where we talked all things parenting and then indulged in some self-care, vital to any parent, in the form of a lesson on how to create our very own kokedamas.

Then there were the Resilience Workshops, helping parents to understand how to promote resilience in their children, one of which we held in the peaceful surroundings of The Soul Spa with wine and nibbles of course because it was in the evening, after your little ones were in bed.

Later on in the year we headed to Dorset, to support the wellbeing and resilience of the incredible staff at Robin James as they in turn, support their clients.  We only wish we were closer and could enjoy some of the pampering they offer clients!

Next was our collaboration with the Positive Doodle Diary if you haven’t already ordered a copy, you and your child could definitely start the year in a fun, gentle way by journaling together. We will!  We are busy planning more collaborations with them in time for Children’s Mental Health Week in February.  Watch our social media for additional on this one.

2021 will also see us hooking up with Heartfelttips to bring a little colour into the lives of those children who need it.  Our December blog focussed on this great little charity and we all saw a chance to do something to brighten up January so, watch this space!

In the summer term we will be going online with Head 2 Heart Books so, if you’re looking to support your child as they move up through different year groups you might like to hear about this collaboration.

Ultimately, if you feel we can help your family, in any way at all, then watch our social media and website for lots more dates, and upcoming events.  Here’s to a brighter, lighter 2021 with a whole lot more freedom!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
